Kara Bradfield is the principal and owner of Studio Kindela. She has over 20 years of experience illuminating and managing projects throughout northern california, hawaii, and beyond. Kara began her career studying interior design, but learned early on that a specialty in lighting requires the perfect balance of creative expression and technical knowledge. Understanding and sharing how light organizes and reveals space, and how it affects our well being is at the heart of her approach. She is dedicated to continuing education, expanding her knowledge of current lighting technology, and finding inspiration from decorative artists in light.

Kara has been an integral part of the team at Anna Kondolf Lighting Design in the San Francisco bay area since 2002, and their collaboration continues as she widens her project types and locations through Studio Kindela.

When not at work, Kara finds joy hiking, downhill skiing, and kayaking in the forests and mountains of the pacific northwest.

BA - 2002 Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Interior Design from Michigan State University.
